HYDROGYN Frontwoman Raising Money For Muscular Dystrophy Association
August 16, 2007Julie Westlake, the metal songbird of the rock band HYDROGYN, has agreed to be a "jailbird" until she reaches or exceeds her fundraising goal for MDA. She will show her support for the cause by requesting donations from her friends and fans to "bail her out" of jail.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a national voluntary health agency dedicated to researching and curing over 40 neuromuscular diseases. Proceeds for the "Lock-Up" fundraiser can go towards the purchase of items such as flu shots, research, diagnostic exams, summer camp, wheelchairs and other medical devices.
Those who are interested in donating can do so by visiting Julie's MDA "Lock-Up" page at this location.
When Julie is not raising money for organizations such as MDA, she is the lead vocalist in the popular metal/rock band HYDROGYN, whose current lineup includes DIO guitarist Craig Goldy.
HYDROGYN is very widely known overseas and in states near their hometown in West Virginia. Once their next overseas tour comes to a close, they will expand their schedule again to include cities all over the U.S.
